All American Diner: Classic American homemade food

Looking for a place to have great food and a good time? OU News Bureau reporters have visited some distinctive eateries in southeast Michigan to learn more about what these places have to offer. Reporter David Jackson visited All American Diner in Genesee County’s Burton and spoke with owner Lloyd Olds and head chef Paul Williams.

Tell me about the history of this place. Olds: I’ve owned this restaurant for about a year now. Williams: I’m the chef here, I’m a certified executive head chef, retired. I’ve been in five-star restaurants for 40-some years. He got this place and asked me for my help. I told him if I come in, everything’s going to be homemade from scratch. Nothing from a box, can or anything like that.
